Team Radio Marketing Group - January 4, 2018 1:23 pm

The Ponca City YMCA is currently offering 50 percent off memberships for new members who join in January.

New members who sign up for at least three months, will receive the 50 percent discount special.  Membership benefits include drop-in child care during workouts, free youth sports, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, aquatic/fitness classes, indoor walking track, racquetball courts, swimming, climbing wall and a great place to spend quality time with friends and family.

One of the many benefits of joining the YMCA is child watch at the Y Kid Zone.  The Kid Zone is a great place for children to learn, create and have fun, while parents enjoy their workout time. Child watch is free with Family and Single Parent Memberships and $2 per hour for all other members and guests.

Registration for YMCA After School Child Care Program is underway for students ages 4 and older.  The after school program is held Monday through Friday until 6 p.m.  Activities include arts and crafts, healthy snacks, gym games and teamwork activities.  Pre-registration information packets are available at the YMCA Front Desk.

The Y has many benefits for seniors, including group fitness and aquatic classes, warm water Family Pool with zero depth entry, indoor walking track, machine weights, cardio equipment and a great place to hang out with friends. Humana and AARP Medicare supplemental policies offer YMCA membership discounts and benefits.  Please call the YMCA of Ponca City or your insurance company for more information.

Signups are currently underway for adult volleyball.  Team registration for women’s and coed leagues will be held until Jan. 24, with games scheduled in late January.  Team forms are available at the YMCA front desk.

Swimming lessons and lifeguard classes will be held during January.  Swim lessons for levels 1-6 will be Tuesday and Thursday evening starting Jan. 9.  Lifeguard classes will be Jan. 26-28 with registration deadline set for Jan. 17.

Basic Self Defense classes will start at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, with a free class orientation.  Everyone ages 10 and older are welcome to come to this free class and visit with Instructor Bill Mays about the program.  For more information, call (580) 304-1116.

The Y offers adult, family, senior, single parent and youth memberships.  The YMCA strives to serve all segments of the community.  Within our available resources, every effort will be made to accommodate all who wish to join.
