Work continues on Lake Road sewer interceptor rehabilitation

Ponca City Now - July 12, 2019 9:24 am

Work continues on the rehabilitation of the 18-inch sewer interceptor on Lake Road.

Recent flooding events caused severe damage to a 500-foot section, between two manholes on the north side of Lake Road east of Pecan Road.  The Krapff-Reynolds Company is repairing and rehabilitating the 18-inch sewer interceptor using pipe-bursting technology.

As the project continues, this construction project may require daily road closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Lake Road, between Pecan Road and Kygar Road. The contractor will open the road whenever work is not being executed on site.  Signing and barricades will be in place to detour and direct traffic around the construction site.

Any questions regarding this project may be directed to Darwin Haney, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Superintendent, at (580) 767-0485.
