Work begins on Veterans’ Plaza

Ponca City Now - December 11, 2014 9:10 am

Sober Brothers Inc. started the groundwork for the Veterans’ Plaza Wednesday.

The plaza is located at Grand Avenue and Fourth Street. It will recognize and honor all veterans in Kay County. Memorial pavers purchased by family members and friends recognize individuals.

A water wall will honor deceased or missing in action veterans from any war.

The property for the memorial was donated by Fred Boettcher. Daren Wilson and Ken Luttrell are fundraising chairmen for the project. Design work was done by the Ponca City Main Street design committee.
