The students, staff and parents at Woodlands Elementary School recently celebrated earning an “A” grade on the State Report Card. Superintendent Dr. David Pennington addressed students, staff and guests at the celebration assembly congratulating them on their achievement, “This assembly is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of the students and staff at Woodlands Elementary School.” This is the second year in a row Woodlands has received an “A” on the report card.

Special guests were recognized including Paul and Becky Krueger, Janice Inskeep, and Woodlands’ PIE Partners Albright Insurance, Eastman National Bank, and TEAM Radio. Each PIE partner was presented with “Thank You” cards created and signed by students.

Former Woodlands principal Becky Krueger brought greetings to the audience. It was under her leadership as principal that Woodlands achieved the “A” on the report card, since the grade is based on statistics from the 2014-15 school year.

Students danced the “Cha Cha Slide” as they left the assembly. Chef Jeff brought a special treat for every Woodlands student and staff member.
