A 46-year-old woman from Erie, Colo., died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in a collision on Interstate 35 about five miles south of Perry, Okla.

Mary Dalton, 46, died at the scene from her injuries. Her body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a 2015 International Tractor Trailer driven by Annette Walker, 52, of Gardner, Kansas, was southbound on I-35 and struck a cow lying on the roadway from a previous collision. The driver lost control and the truck left the roadway to the right, overturned and struck a 2015 Chevrolet truck parked on the roadside. The driver of the Chevrolet truck was Timothy Dalton, 47, of Erie, Colo. Both he and Mary Dalton were standing outside of the vehicle at the time of the collision. Three children were in the truck and were not injured, the Patrol reported. The Highway Patrol reported Timothy Dalton was transported by Life Net to OU Medical Center and admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.

The patrol said Walker was not injured.
