TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa police arrested a woman who allegedly assaulted a paramedic on Wednesday.
Officers were dispatched to the QuickTrip near 41st and Memorial at 3:45 p.m. after EMSA reported one of its medical technicians was assaulted.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned two EMSA medical providers were sitting in their ambulance awaiting a call. They said a woman, later identified as Prisila Platzer, walked up to the ambulance and punched one of the providers through the open window.
There was no contact with Platzer prior to the assault. Officers believe the suspect intentionally targeted the paramedic.
The entire incident was captured on the ambulance dash cam.
Platzer ran away after the assault. Officers found her hiding in the bushes along the railroad track behind the store and arrested her.
The paramedic was not seriously injured.
Platzer was booked into the Tulsa County jail for assault and battery.
