Willow Springs disc golf course ribbon-cutting held

Ponca City Now - March 28, 2019 3:28 pm

The Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new disc golf course at Willow Springs Park, located at South 11th Street and Miller Avenue.

It is a beautiful course.

Mayor Homer Nicholson cuts the ribbon along with Eric Newell, Jason Apple, Garrett Bowers, Jimmy Soutter, Mike Arnold, Craig Stephenson and students from Pioneer Technology Center.

Holding the ribbon are Steve Bookout and Dr. Robert Howard.  The PTC students built the benches for the park.

Did you know Ponca City has more disc golf baskets than any other rural city in Oklahoma?  We are hosting a national tournament later this year.
