The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred at about 12:39 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of South 106th Lane and East Feguson Avenue, going southbound about a mile north of Kaw City, OK in Kay County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2006 Kawasaki Sports bike driven by John Earl (SIC), 64, of Wichita, Kansas. Earl was transported by Air Evac to Saint Francis in Tulsa, OK, where he was admitted in fair condition with injuries to the trunk, both internal and external.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that Earl’s vehicle was southbound on S. 106th Lane. Due to unsafe speeds and failing to negotiate a left curve, the vehicle then overturned and went into the ditch on the west side of the road. The report notes that a helmet was in use and the condition of the driver was apparently normal.

Investigated by Trooper Vaughan #832 of the Kay/Noble detachment of Troop K. Assisted by the Kay County Sheriff’s Office, Newkirk Fire Department, and Air Evac.

This report is based upon the trooper’s investigation of this collision. It may contain the opinion of the trooper.
