Students in Cortney Horne’s 6th Grade Math Plus class at West Middle School recently completed a unit on fractions.

Students in her class created paper pizzas to share their learning, designing a pizza to represent different fractions and fraction operations they had learned during the unit. Horne invited teachers and administrators in the building to come by her classroom and vote for their favorite pizza.

The winning pizza was created by students Thomasine Rhodd, Eugene Brown and Arianna Navarro. Their class will get to enjoy a real pizza party for their winning design.
