Weather causes flight cancellations in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Officials say wintry weather is causing multiple flight cancellations at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City.

Airport officials say 27 flights are canceled so far Monday morning. Most of the cancellations were caused by flights not arriving Sunday night along with icy weather in the area. Airport officials say flights are still going out but they will likely be delayed.

Maintenance crews are working to clear runways and taxiways to keep the airport open. Oklahoma City was under a winter storm warning until noon Monday.

Airport officials say that even though weather conditions will improve in Oklahoma City, flights may still be affected as the storm moves eastward.
