Washington’s double leads Memphis to 11-4 win over Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — David Washington hit a run-scoring double in the eighth inning, leading the Memphis Redbirds to an 11-4 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Monday.

The double by Washington, part of a two-run inning, gave the Redbirds a 4-3 lead before Matt Williams hit an RBI double later in the inning.

The Redbirds later scored six runs in the ninth to punctuate the blowout.

Ryan Sherriff (7-1) got the win in relief while Josh Fields (1-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

Memphis hit a season-high seven doubles in its victory.

For the Dodgers, O'Koyea Dickson homered twice and singled, driving in three runs and scoring a pair.
