Volunteers Needed to Place Flags on Veteran’s Graves in Ponca City

The Ponca City VFW Post #1201 needs volunteers to place flags on veterans graves at IOOF Odd Fellows Cemetery on South Waverly on Saturday, May 27 at 8:00 am and on Tuesday, May 30 at 8:00 am to remove the flags.

Memorial day ceremonies will take place on Monday, May 29 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery and 11:00 am at IOOF Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Special guests at Odd Fellows will be descendants of British flyers who trained in Ponca City and are buried at the Cemetery.

If you know of a veteran’s grave that needs a flag, stop by Saturday morning and tell the volunteers the location of the grave.
