Volunteer relief center to open

BLANCHARD, Okla. (AP) – Several Oklahoma disaster relief and recovery agencies plan to open a resource center for central Oklahoma residents affected by severe weather and tornadoes.
The Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster will open the Multi-Agency Resource Center on Sunday. It will be located at the Bridge Creek Upper Elementary School in Blanchard.
Agencies expected to be at the center include the American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, AmeriCorps NCCC, United Way, Church of the Harvest, Oklahoma Conference of Churches, Islamic Relief and Therapy Dog International as well as many other agencies.
Residents affected by the storms will be able to meet with representatives of the agencies to see what forms of assistance may be available to help with their recovery.
