Victim Dies From Apparent Gunshot Wound in Stillwater

STILLWATER – Thursday April 14th at 5:26 p.m., Stillwater Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of 12th and Main St. Once officers arrived, they located Landon Ray Aufleger, 25-year-old male, of Stillwater in his vehicle at 12th and Lewis. Officers and medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures but Aufleger was pronounced deceased.

During the initial investigation, it was discovered that a physical altercation occurred inside the Headliner Barber Shop at 1203 S. Main. The altercation continued into the parking lot. The victim left the parking lot, driving eastbound on 12th when gunshots were fired at his vehicle. The victim struck a parked vehicle on the southside of the roadway.

Officers located and arrested Darren Joseph Bacchus, 25-year-old male, of Stillwater outside the business. Darren was transported to the Stillwater Police Department jail.
