Victim Dies From Apparent Gunshot Wound in Stillwater

STILLWATER – Thursday April 14th at 5:26 p.m., Stillwater Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of 12^th and Main St. Once officers arrived, they located Landon Ray Aufleger, 25-year-old male, of Stillwater in his vehicle at 12^th and Lewis. Officers and medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures but Aufleger was pronounced deceased.

During the initial investigation, it was discovered that a physical altercation occurred inside the Headliner Barber Shop at 1203 S. Main. The altercation continued into the parking lot. The victim left the parking lot, driving eastbound on 12^th when gunshots were fired at his vehicle. The victim struck a parked vehicle on the southside of the roadway.

Officers located and arrested Darren Joseph Bacchus, 25-year-old male, of Stillwater outside the business. Darren was transported to the Stillwater Police Department jail.
