Venable hits walk-off single, Oklahoma City beats Memphis 5-4

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Will Venable hit a walk-off single with two outs in the ninth inning, as the Oklahoma City Dodgers topped the Memphis Redbirds 5-4 on Tuesday.

Alex Hassan scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a pinch-hit single, advanced to second on a single by Chris Taylor and then went to third on an out.

The Redbirds tied the game 4-4 in the top of the eighth when Nick Martini scored on a double play.

Reliever Ralston Cash (4-0) picked up the win after he struck out three while allowing one hit over one scoreless inning. John Brebbia (2-3) allowed one run and got two outs in the Pacific Coast League game.

David Washington homered and singled, driving in two runs for the Redbirds.
