Utility Authority approves consulting contract

The Ponca City Utility Authority voted Monday night to enter into a professional services agreement with Monte R. Lee and Co. to do a fiber facility audit of the city’s fiber system.

The fiber system in the backbone of the city’s wireless mesh system and the inventory is needed to prepare for a new Fiber to the Premises utility the city will offer.

Total cost of the contract will be between $80,000 and $129,000, based on hours and software.
