US-60 Closes at I-35 in Tonkawa for Bridge Work on Tuesday

ODOT and OTA - July 19, 2022 5:58 am

Eastbound and westbound US-60 will be closed underneath I-35 (mm 213) near Tonkawa from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, as part of ongoing bridge reconstruction. The I-35 on- and off-ramps will remain open. Motorists may detour to Hubbard Rd. on the north and to Fountain Rd. on the south.

Meanwhile, northbound and southbound I-35 remain narrowed to one lane in each direction over US-60 through fall 2022.

Work is expected to complete in summer 2023, weather permitting.  Drivers also should plan for extra travel time through the work zone.

The nearly $10 million project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission to OBC Inc. of Edmond.
