Black and White pARTy at the home of Fred Boettcher
The party is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Fred and Sue Boettcher invite you to celebrate the night in Black and White and raise money for the Ponca City Art Center. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at any Eastman National Bank location or at the Ponca City Art Center at 819 East Central. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event. All ticket holders will be entered into a drawing to win a free painting by Gene Doughery.

Exhibit Opening, "Lethal to Ingest"
A new exhibit, "Lethal To Ingest: Territorial Medicine" opens Saturday at the Pioneer Woman Museum exhibit, 701 Monument Road.
Oktoberfest Activities at the Pioneer Woman Museum
All Day Saturday, stop by the Pioneer Woman Museum on your way to Oktoberfest at the Marland Mansion, 701 Monument Rd. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Oktoberfest 2015 is Saturday and Sunday on the grounds of the Marland Mansion and in the Unity Gym in Ponca City.
Gates are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5, but children 8 and younger are admitted free.
A free shuttle bus will run from the JCPenney parking lot beginnning at 10 a.m. Saturday and continuing until 6 p.m. On Sunday, the bus runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The annual event is a fundraiser for the Marland Mansion.
Kildare Fire Department Fish Fry
The Kildare Volunteer Fire Department will have its third annual fish fry Saturday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at the fire station in Kildare. The station is located at Church Street and 11th Street.
The department will be serving fish, chicken, beans, coleslaw, hush puppies and a drink. The dinner is offered for a donation to the Kildare Fire Department.
The money raised will go to help the department to finish converting an ex-military truck into a heavy brush truck and purchase office equipment. Heavy brush trucks are used to carry more water to battle large wildland fires.
At 7 p.m. Saturday the BisonBison Film Festival is hosting the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival in the historic Poncan Theatre. The Manhattan Short Film Festival is a unique experience that occurs simultaneously in theaters across six continents.
