U.S. 177 reopens after downed power line repaired

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident on U.S. 177 and the Payne/Noble County line at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle struck a power pole and an electric line was dangling across the roadway. Both lanes of traffic were shut down while CREC electric company made repairs.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation also responded for extra traffic control.

The roadway reopened at 1:51 p.m.
