According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a two-car accident near Ponca City, in Osage County, resulted in two people being taken to the hospital Monday morning.

23-year-old Jeremy M. Bergeron of Bryan Texas was travelling in one direction on US 60, while 62-year-old Tammy Shepherd of Bartlesville was travelling the opposite direction. The OHP report does not specify which vehicle was going in either direction.

Apparently, Bergeron’s vehicle crossed the center line for an unknown reason, striking Shepherd’s vehicle head-on.

Bergeron was transported by Ponca City ambulance to AllianceHealth Ponca City where he was admitted in good condition with arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.

Shepherd was also transported to AllianceHealth and admitted, also in good condition, with trunk internal injuries.

The roadway was closed for about two hours while the accident scene was being processed.

No further information was provided by the OHP.
