Two injured in accident near Braman

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported an injury accident about 5:52 p.m. Sunday on US Highway 177 at Home Road, located 2.9 miles north of Braman in Kay County, OK.

Raymond Keen, 47, of Derby, Kansas, was driving a 2013 Kia Sorrento northbound on US 177. The Highway Patrol reported Keen drifted left of center and struck a 2005 Ford F250 pickup driven by Dale Rausch, 62, of Cheney, Kansas.

The patrol said Keen initially refused treatment at the scene but later was transported to Blackwell Medical Center by Trooper Adam Beck. From there, he was flown by AirEvac to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, where he was admitted in stable condition with a head injury.

A passenger in Keen’s vehicle, Kam Inthasane, 58, of Wichita, was transported by Blackwell EMS to Blackwell Medical Center. He then was transferred by Blackwell Ambulance  to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in stable condition, where he was admitted with a head injury.

Rausch had no apparent injuries, the patrol reported.

The patrol’s report said Keen was driving under the influence. Keen was not wearing a seat belt, the report said.
