Two dead, one injured in State Highway 11 crash near Blackwell

Two people are dead after a crash on State Highway 11 near Blackwell on Monday.

A 2015 Toyota Scion driven by 26-year-old Jose Ramirez failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and hit a second vehicle at the intersection.

Ramirez and a passenger, Alan Galavis, 29, were both pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 2021 Ram 3500 driven by 47-year-old Lisa Turvey was taken to the hospital with injuries to the neck, torso, and legs.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol noted Turvey was wearing a seatbelt, however, Ramirez and Galavis were not.
