Tulsa Women Participate in National Voter Registration Day

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Tulsa’s League of Women Voters will participate in the second annual National Voter Registration Day along with organizations across the country next week.

The Tulsa League is partnering locally with the YWCA, South Tulsa Community House and Inhofe Plaza on Tuesday to register area voters.

League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa President Kathleen Kastelic says the group’s work is more urgent these days as more attempts are made to deny certain citizens their rights to vote.

The league plans to continue voter registration through the Oct. 18 Oklahoma voter registration deadline for voting in the Nov. 12 elections.
