Crews say the crash involved a small truck and Honda Accord.

According to police, the driver of the truck was traveling east on 21st Street and they attempted a U-turn before stopping in the middle of the road. Police say that is when a 14-year-old unlicensed driver, who was traveling in the Honda Accord at around 90 mph, hit the truck, sending it spinning.

The driver of the Honda suffered a head injury and is expected to recover.

The 14-year-old unlicensed driver told police that he was late for work at McDonald’s at the time of the crash.

Several tools in the back of the truck were thrown at such a high rate of speed they were impaled into the ground.
TPD said if someone would’ve been walking by they could’ve been impaled as well so they are thankful school was out.
The 14 year old driver will likely be facing several charges. His mother could also be charged.
