LAWTON, Okla. (AP) – Authorities have arrested the driver of a truck who they say pointed an assault rifle at an off-duty police officer who attempted to pass the truck on the road.

Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley says the suspect faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon.

Stradley says the driver pointed the weapon at the Lawton police officer, who slowed down and called for backup.
