Transit system meeting Thursday

A public meeting is set for 11 a.m. to noon Thursday for the Cimarron Public Transit System.

It will be held in the Barnes Room on the second floor of City Hall, 516 East Grand Avenue.

The meeting is to encourage public input for the area community transportation program. Feedback gathered from the public will be taken into account as staff reviews and updates the agency’s transportation plan for fiscal year 2016.

The plan will be integrated into the annual application for funding under Section 5311, formula grants for Rural Areas Program of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act.

The application will be submitted to Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Transit Programs Division, by April 1.
