Train Derailed in Sapulpa Saturday Morning

Sapulpa train derailment Saturday morning.

A little after 9:00 am Saturday, May 20, Sapulpa Police Department reported on their Facebook page that a train has derailed near North Division Street and East Denton Avenue.

The train blocks multiple intersections, which will make traffic heavy in this area.

There are no hazardous chemicals or materials onboard that could cause a threat to the public by this derailment.

Police also mentioned that the only way around the derailed train is on West Bryan Avenue and West Line Avenue.

Crews are hoping to have the area cleared by 6 p.m.
