Tornado Destroys 10,000 Square-Foot Sheriff’s Facility in Florida Ahead of Hurricane Milton

A tornado touched down at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) headquarters and took out one of its facilities.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson said on a Facebook livestream the facility was a 10,000 square-foot facility that was destroyed in a matter of seconds by what he called a “devastating tornado.”

Following the devastation Pearson emphasized the storm is serious and urged residents to stay inside and seek shelter.

No deputies were injured by the tornado.
