Tornado Destroys 10,000 Square-Foot Sheriff’s Facility in Florida Ahead of Hurricane Milton

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (WPEC) — A tornado touched down at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) headquarters and took out one of its facilities.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson said on a Facebook livestream the facility was a 10,000 square-foot facility that was destroyed in a matter of seconds by what he called a “devastating tornado.”
According to the SLCSO’s PIO, the steel structure housed their vehicles.
No deputies were injured by the tornado.
