Tonkawa woman injured in accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a Tonkawa woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 60 2.7 miles west of Tonkawa in Kay County.

Tia Marie Brasher 28, was transported by AirEvac to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition with head injuries.

The Patrol’s report  said Brasher was westbound on U.S. 60, departed the roadway left into a field, struck an embankment and went airborne for approximately 81 feet, hit the ground, traveled an additional 143 feet, and hit a tree.
