Tonkawa earthquake reported

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Tonkawa Saturday afternoon.

The 3.0 magnitude quake shook the area seven miles south, southwest of Tonkawa and 18 miles west, southwest of Ponca City at 4:13 p.m. Saturday, according to the USGS.

The earthquake was more than three miles deep.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
