The Kay County Retired Educators Association (KCREA) has announced that the January meeting that had to be postponed has been rescheduled and will now be held on Wednesday, March 9th at 11:30 a.m.

The meeting will be held at Fraziers Restaurant on Highway 60 in the Osage.  Lunch will be a Dutch treat from the menu.

Representatives from Marland’s Place will present a program about their mission of bringing children together with nurturing families.  Business items will include the future of the Kay County chapter of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association as well as selecting delegates to attend the OREA state convention.

KCREA represents about 650 retirees in Kay County.  According to the data from the Oklahoma Teacher Retirement System, almost 14 million dollars each year are paid to Kay County retirees.  That has a large economic impact on Kay County.

For additional information about KCREA or its next meeting, you can contact local president Cindy Watson at 580-763-7192.
