Texas Suspect Arrested in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – According to police, a suspect wanted in Texas for a carjacking, kidnapping, and robbery has been arrested in Oklahoma City.

The Haltom City Police Department in Texas says on Christmas Eve, the suspect forced a 22-year-old woman into her car at gunpoint before demanding she withdraw money from a bank nearby. He then drove her about 22 miles away to an apartment complex where she was restrained. She was able to escape and call for help while the suspect drove away in her vehicle.

The next evening, a Flock camera license plate reader captured the vehicle in Oklahoma City. The car was found in a parking lot in the 2100 block of SW 39th St. The Haltom City Police Department, Grapevine Police Department, Oklahoma City Police Department, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol worked together to make the arrest.

Officials say the suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy. Officers found evidence in the vehicle including a loaded handgun, ammunition, and money.

He is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Haltom City detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery.

The investigation is still ongoing.
