Teen arrested in connection with death of Oklahoma cyclist
TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Police in Tulsa say a teenager has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a cyclist.
Tulsa Police Department Sgt. Dave Walker says the 17-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday after investigators served a search warrant at the suspects’ family’s home.
The teen is suspected in the death of 37-year-old Roy Cobb on Wednesday night. Walker says Cobb occasionally stayed with the teen’s family and there were allegations that Cobb had abused the teen’s mother.
Walker says a vehicle seen leaving the area of the shooting was found at the residence. Witnesses told investigators that there had been an argument at the residence on the night of the shooting.
Walker says authorities have not recovered the weapon.
