Suspicious fire set on South Oak

A suspicious fire was reported about 3:45 a.m.  Wednesday, March 21, at a small structure behind 336 South Oak. This vacant apartment sits on the alley and was not occupied at the time of the fire.

Both Police and Fire responded. A witness told Police that, after smelling smoke, he walked down the alley and saw the south wall of the apartment was engulfed in flames and he could hear glass shattering.
