Stillwater Woman Formally Charged After Police Say Boyfriend Uncovered Disturbing Images of His 3-Year-Old on Her Phone

KOKH - September 4, 2023 9:44 am

A woman in Stillwater has formally been charged on five different counts.

This all comes after police say her then-boyfriend found some disturbing images of his 3-year-old daughter in her phone.

According to the Stillwater Police Department (SPD), on August 22, at 10:11 a.m., an officer responded to the SPD lobby where he met with a very distraught parent.

Police said the parent disclosed he recently met a girl online from the Oklahoma City area. She became his girlfriend and moved in with him. While she was sleeping, police say he went through her phone and found disturbing images and videos of his three-year-old daughter.

Ashlee Cheatham, 19, was later contacted by SPD officers and detectives. Cheatham was arrested and transported to the Payne County jail where she was booked without incident.

Ashlee Cheatham has been charged with the following charges:

  • Possession of child porn
  • Child sexual abuse
  • Child sexual exploitation
  • Unlawful access to computer
  • Unlawful possession of controlled drug

Cheatham pleaded not guilty to the charges on August 30. She will move forward in her case with a court-appointed lawyer.

Her next court hearing is September 11 at 9 a.m.

Cheatham’s bond is set at $75,000.
