STILLWATER, Oklahoma Stillwater Regional Airport is inviting the community to celebrate with its American Airlines team this Friday for winning the airline’s Customer Cup for outstanding customer service.

The party begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in the airport terminal at 2020-1 W. Airport Road. Cake and refreshments are provided. No RSVP is required and parking is free at the airport.

Team Stillwater beat 69 other small city airports in its category to take the top spot for the fourth quarter of 2016.

“Winning the Customer Cup in your first full quarter of operation is a rare achievement for the airline,” Envoy General Manager Karen Strawder said. “We could not be prouder of our team’s hard work and dedication to providing quality air service to this city and region.”

The team was awarded the cup in recognition of its exceptional bag handling, on-time departures, punctual turn times, customer feedback and overall customer satisfaction.

“We commend our AA team on this recognition and thank them for making our airport a great place to fly,” Airport Director Gary Johnson said. “We encourage anyone in the community to come by and congratulate the team and to celebrate the success of our commercial air service.”
