Spring Sports Are Getting Busy

Spring sports have started with a bang. Golf starts action this week. Girls Golf Coach Wendy Landes stated, “We open up tomorrow with the pre regional tournament at the country club! Have a good group of girls, three from last years team and three freshman. One senior, Hope Gillespie.

Pretty excited to see how they will do! And really excited to host one of the regionals for 6a!”

First year Boys Golf Coach Rod Alexander is happy to be at the helm, “The Boys team shows a lot of potential. Lead by 4 seniors we are trying to make it back to state and continue the success from last year. Lead by Kale Gilbert, Grant Jackson, Mason Williams, and Ashton Hunt we will rely on senior leadership to get stronger every tournament. We have less than 90 days before Regionals so we have to put in the work to get better. We are pretty solid in all aspects of the game but have to tune up our short games in order to compete. I’m very pleased to coach this great team and continue on the success from last year.”

Girls Tennis Coach Larry Williams, is enjoying the challenge of his young team, “Young, extremely inexperienced, but improving greatly with each tournament! Wonderful young ladies, on the outside and inside, to work with!” Tennis, as most Spring sports, have a busy schedule between now and the end of school.

Wildcats Baseball, Soccer, Track and Ladycats Soccer have been working hard as well.
