Special State Board of Education meeting called for Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY – The State Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 25, to consider numerous waivers including school building closure for the rest of the school year and district implementation of continuous learning during the coronavirus pandemic. When: Wednesday, March 25 at 9:30 a.m.

Where: Oliver Hodge Education Building, 2500 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK

Note: Due to Centers for Disease Control recommendations, no more than 10 people will be allowed in the Board room. Board members and required Oklahoma State Department of Education staff will be given first priority for entry. Others will be allowed in up to the maximum of 10 on a first-come, first-served basis. Cameras will be assigned positions to ensure maintenance of at least 6 feet between individuals.

A live stream of the meeting will be available on OSDE’s Facebook page beginning at 9:30 a.m. Public and media are encouraged to watch the meeting via live stream.
