Sounding of sirens was accidental

Tornado sirens went off this morning on the west side of Ponca City around the Liberty School area.

Assistant City Manager Tana McKinley said the sirens were set off accidentally and there is no tornado in the area.

Emergency Management Director Paula Cain said the siren was accidentally set off by a dispatcher.
