Some entertainment cancels at Oktoberfest because of weather

Ponca City’s Oktoberfest at the Marland Mansion will be going on rain or shine, but the big band entertainment portion has been canceled because of anticipated wet weather. Some individuals plan to perform solo acts.

Any children performers not performing on the city stage should contact their instructors for further instruction.

Be sure to check out Unity Gym during Oktoberfest. There are 45 more crafts & vendor booths inside. Children and adult fashion, jewelry, food, accessories, home decor & more. You don’t want to miss these amazing vendors.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m Saturday, Oct. 6, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.  Admission is $5. Children 8 and younger are admitted free.

Limited parking is available on the grounds of the Marland Mansion. Free parking and trolly service is available from the north end of the Ponca Plaza shopping center.

Swamp Buggy – Jambalaya, Fried Alligator, Cajun Food
Dapper Dog – Hot Dogs, Bratwurst
L & E Concessions – Chicken on a stick, Fried Cheesecake
Knights of Columbus – Bratwurst, Hot dogs
C & C Kettle Corn – Carmel Corn ( In children’s area)
F & J Catering – German Skillet Potatoes, Bavarian Pulled Pork
Kolanders Concession – Chicken strip basket, Funnel Cakes
Racks on Racks – Turkey Legs, Brisket
F & R Greek Cuisine – Gyros, Greek Salad
Unlimited Concessions – Indian Tacos, Giant Curly Fries
Okie Old Time Rootbeer – Root beer
Ott’s Concessions Saloon – Haystack Taters, Deep Fried Peaches

This is not a complete list of menu items from these vendors, just a sampling of what they have to offer.

There are activities scheduled for children, but remember individual activities may be dependent on how  the weather is through the day.

So many activities for kids at this year’s Oktoberfest! They includee:
Bungee trampoline, rock wall, train, petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and more. Located above the boathouse, next to the gazebo & by Unity.

Free Kid’s activities will be going on throughout the weekend including a Tinkertable, Gaga Ball (On Saturday, provided by the Cubscouts Pack 3553) and other activities.

2-4 pm Play Do Crafts (Blackwell Dentistry)
2-4 pm Fran’s Dance (North Terrace)
4-4:30 pm Hoop Performance by Nicole Schnack
5-7 pm Face painting (by Red Dirt Rosie Artist Kortny Dylewski)

SUNDAY
12-2 pm Craft Activity (Girl Scouts)
12-2 pm Doodle Academy
2-4 pm Craft Activity (YMCA)
2-4 pm Kem’s Gym & Fran’s Dance (North Terrace)
