Shooting victim found on Osage Street

Capt. Randy Tyner of the Ponca City Police Department said a man was found shot this morning on Osage Street, just south of Liberty Avenue.

Tyner said a UPS driver discovered the wounded man and called police and ambulance.

The victim is being transported to Alliance Health Medical Center to be stabilized before being life-flighted to a larger hospital, Tyner said.

Several officers are on the scene investigating the incident and searching for the shooter, Tyner said.
