Shooter shot in Fairfax

A gunman who shot a woman in Fairfax, Oklahoma, this morning has been shot and the scene secured, Kay County Deputy Steve Kelley said Thursday morning.

Kelley said the man entered a business on Main Street and shot the woman, then went to the Fairfax Town Hall.

The man, who has not been identified, was shot at the Town Hall and the scene secured. Kelley said he did not know if either the man or woman died or what their relationship may have been.

Kelley said three Kay County Deputies and troopers from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, along with the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, responded  to the incident. Kay County deputies are now returning from Fairfax.
