SH-51 closed at US-177 in Stillwater due to railroad repairs

As of 3 p.m. SH-51 now OPEN at US-177 in Stillwater after railroad repairs

Eastbound and westbound SH-51 (Sixth St.) is now OPEN to one lane in each direction between US-177 (Perkins Rd.) and the Stillwater Central Railroad line near S. Kelly St. in Stillwater after repairs to railroad crossing equipment.

STILLWATER — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports eastbound and westbound SH-51 (Sixth Street) is temporarily closed between US-177 (Perkins Road) and the Stillwater Central Railroad line near South Kelly Street in Stillwater until further notice.

The road is closed due to malfunctioning railroad crossing equipment. Motorists are advised to locate an alternate route.
