Senior Diner trial ends with great results; going to five days a week

Ponca City Now - October 23, 2019 3:27 pm

The Senior Diner three month trial period at the Ponca City Senior Center ended with great results!

Beginning Nov. 1, the Center will begin to prepare meals five days a week.

Joining the Senior Diner for November and December meal preps will be the Pioneer Technology Center’s Culinary Class students. The students will prepare the Thursday meals each week during these two months.

Also beginning Nov. 1, the $2 meals will increase to $3 per meal. This is only a $2 weekly increase. Please know that the Senior Center has worked very hard to keep the cost at a minimum.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday meals will be $3, and the Friday meal will remain $4. Based on income, you may apply for a reduced cost for the Friday meal. Please call the Senior Diner for your meal reservation at 763-8051.

For more information, call Marie Trenary, Senior Citizens Program Specialist, at (580) 763-8051.
