School district exploring possibility of after-school care for students

Ponca City Now - February 7, 2019 3:59 pm

The Ponca City Public School district is exploring the possibility of adding after-school care for elementary and prekindergarten age students for the 2019-20 school year.

At this time, the district is gathering feedback from parents to determine if there is enough interest to move forward with the program.

A survey will be distributed to interested parents at each elementary site at parent/teacher conferences this month.  Information about the program and costs are included on the survey.  The district must get as much feedback as possible to determine the feasibility of offering this service.  Parents who are interested in this service can fill out the survey during conferences or pick up a survey at one of the elementary schools or on the district website at www.pcps.us.  Surveys will be gathered through Feb. 18.
