Scholarship Created in Honor of University of Oklahoma Meteorology Students

OU Meteorologists killed April 27, 2022. Drake Brooks 22, Nicholas Nair, 20 and Gavin Short, 19.

The University of Oklahoma has created the OU3 Memorial Meteorology Scholarship Fund in honor of three students kill last year.

Just before 11:30 p.m. on April 27, 2022, 20-year-old Nicholas Nair, 19-year-old Gavin Short, and 22-year-old Drake Brooks were traveling back from storm chasing in Kansas when their SUV hydroplaned on Interstate 35.

A semi then crashed into their vehicle.

All three students were pronounced dead at the scene.
