Salvation Army donation center reorganizing

The Ponca City Salvation Army wiill close its donation center from Feb. 11 to April 8 in order to reorganize that area.

An employee said the store at the front of the building will remain open.

The reorganization will include changes in the center’s policies as well as the intake area. During the changes, the store also will be reorganized.

The Salvation Army provided a list of items that are commonly donated:

  • Appliances
  • Children’s Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Household Goods
  • Men’s Clothing
  • Miscellaneous
  • Women’s Clothing

The following items are NOT accepted:

  • Built in appliances
  • Automobile parts
  • Paint or chemicals of any kind
  • Kerosene and Gas heaters
  • Frequently recalled items. (Such as Toys, Infant Furniture, Car Seats, small items that can be swallowed, etc.)
