Rock and gem show Saturday

Ponca City Now - April 11, 2018 11:52 am

The Rough and Tumbled Rock and Gem Club is hosting a free rock and gem show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Connect Church gym at 1101 West Grand Avenue.

The show will feature glow-in-the-dark minerals, fossils, rocks and sparkling crystals.

There will be activities for kids and door prizes. Kids’ activities will include a fossil tracing, a touching table, a fluorescent room (glow in the dark rocks), scavenger hunt and a sandpit fossil dig.

For a small cost, kids and adults may make a tiger eye necklace, spin-the-wheel for a prize or cut a geode in half.

Fossils, minerals, crystals and amazing rocks will be available for purchase from regional dealers and collectors.

For more information, contact Lisa Eisele with the club at (580) 716-0646 or John Goines at (580) 763-7249.
