Rep. Sean Roberts-R Hominy

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Sean Roberts, R-Hominy, today presented a resolution urging safe travel practices as families travel for the Memorial Day Holiday.

House Resolution 1039 relates to roadway safety and speed in general, but especially during the Memorial Day holiday weekend where we honor those who sacrificed everything for this great nation.

The resolution states “that the 2021 Memorial Day Holiday should be a reminder that the exercise of freedom carries with it the responsibility to behave in a reasonable manner and to exercise due caution when operating any motor vehicle and especially when operating motor vehicles at higher speeds.”

“As increased summer travel begins with Memorial Day weekend, I’m excited for Oklahomans to get out and see more of our great state,” said Roberts. “Have fun, be safe and don’t drink and drive.”

HR 1039 was adopted by the House of Representatives without objection.
