Rider of motorized bicycle transported to OU Medical Center after accident

The rider of a motorized bicycle who was struck by another vehicle about midnight Monday was transported to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical but stable condition, Ponca City Police Captain Randy Tyner said today.

The accident happened at Fifth Street and Hartford Avenue. The rider of the bicycle was transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City via helicopter.

Tyner said all parties involved in the accident remained on scene and a state accident report was taken. He said no alcohol was involved in the accident and  the investigation continues.
